
SOUTHENERGY has received SOA certification for the qualification of performing public works and 2 stars in the Legality Rating

SOA SOUTHENERGY CERTIFICATION – SOA certification (issued by the authorized Certification Body) is a mandatory certificate demonstrating the technical and economic capacity of a company to qualify for the execution of public work contracts exceeding values of €150,000, also confirming that the certified entity is in possession of all the necessary requirements for public procurement.
The certification of qualification for the execution of public works for Southenergy includes the following:
- GENERAL CATEGORY OG 1 “CIVIL and INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS” – CLASSIFICATION FOR AMOUNT I, UP TO € 258,000;
Concerns the construction, maintenance or renovation of specific building works required to carry out any human activity, direct or indirect, complete with the necessary facilities, electromechanical, electrical, telephone and electronic installations and finishes of all kinds, and any related, complementary and accessory works. Includes but is not limited to residences, prisons, schools, barracks, offices, theaters, stadiums, industrial buildings, car parks, railway and underground stations, airport buildings and any special reinforced concrete structures, whether plain or pre-stressed, cast on site such as thin vaults, domes, water towers, silos and tall buildings with particularly complex structures and particular characteristics.
- GENERAL CATEGORY OG 9 “PLANTS FOR the PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICITY” – CLASSIFICATION OF AMOUNT IV BIS, UP TO € 3,500,000;
Concerns the construction, maintenance or renovation of works limited to a specific area, necessary for the production of electricity, complete with all related complementary or accessory building works, local or networked, as well as all electromechanical, electrical, telephone and electronic installations necessary in terms of operations, information, safety and assistance. Includes hydroelectric power stations or those powered by any type of fuel.
- GENERAL CATEGORY OG 10 “PLANTS FOR HIGH/MEDIUM VOLTAGE TRANSFORMATION AND FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTRICITY IN ALTERNATING AND DIRECT CURRENT and PUBLIC LIGHTING SYSTEMS” – CLASSIFICATION OF AMOUNT I, UP TO € 258,000;
Concerns the construction, maintenance or renovation of network interventions that are necessary for the distribution of high and medium voltage and for the transformation and distribution of low voltage to the end user of electricity, complete with each connected wall work, complementary or accessory, punctual or network and the construction, maintenance and renovation of public lighting systems, to be carried out outside of buildings. Includes, but is not limited to, transformer stations and substations, pylons necessary for the transport and distribution of any voltage, the supply and laying of electrical cables for any number of line phases on pylons or underground, the supply and laying of equipped channels and voltage cables, and public lighting installations on ports, viaducts, tunnels, roads, motorways and parking areas.
- DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES UP TO € 3,500,000
Awards conferred on the company through the fulfillment of the requirements imposed by the regulations regarding the company’s technical team.
SOA Certification is issued by authorized SOA Bodies at the end of a thorough evaluation of the requirements imposed by law, which can be found in the last 15 business years of the enterprise concerned.
Categories of works and classification of amounts
SOA is a Certification that qualifies the company to participate in public contracts in categories of works and amount classification, both commensurate with the skills and experience that the company has demonstrated to the Certification Body. Specifically, there are 52 categories of works, 13 concerning general works, 39 concerning specialized works.
There are 10 amount classifications:
- I up to €258,000
- II up to €516,000
- III up to €1,033,000
- III a) up to €1,500,000
- IV up to €2,582,000
- IV a) up to €3,500,000
- V up to €5,165,000
- VI up to €10,329,000
- VII up to €15,494,000
- VIII over €15,494,000
Each ranking enables the company in possession of SOA Certification to compete in contracts for amounts equal to the increased ranking of one-fifth. In order to obtain the SOA Certification in classifications of amounts greater than III (over €1,033,000.00) it is mandatory to have a company Quality System, which is certified according to the current standard (UNI EN ISO 9001).
According to current legislation, the SOA Certification Bodies are required to verify the goodness, truthfulness, correctness and substance of all the documents that the company uses for the purpose of demonstrating the requirements useful for its Qualification.
SOUTHENERGY LEGALITY RATING – In terms of legality rating, Southenergy ranked among the companies with two “stars” for its ethical rating and at the same time a summary indicator of compliance with high standards of legality by Italian companies. Companies (both individual and corporate) that meet the following requirements:
- Operational headquarters in Italy;
- Minimum turnover of € two million in the fiscal year ended in the year preceding the year of application;
- Registry in the commercial register for at least two years as of the date of application;
- Compliance with the other substantial requirements of the Regulation.
Such recognition takes the form of a score between a minimum of one and a maximum of three “stars”. The applicant enterprise gets the base score ★ if it meets all the requirements of Article 2 of the Implementing Regulations on Legality Rating. The basic score can be increased by a “+” for each additional requirement that the company meets among those stipulated in Art. 3 of the Regulation. The achievement of three “+” implies the award of an additional star, up to a maximum score of ★★★.
The legality rating is assigned by the Competition and Market Authority AGCM, and has a duration of two years from issue. It is renewable upon request. Companies operating in Italy that have achieved a minimum turnover of € 2 million in the fiscal year ending the year preceding the application and have been registered in the business register for at least two years may apply for the rating.
