Southenergy among the protagonists of #DeepSouth: Disruptive Innovation
April 11, 2025 – Southenergy takes part in #DeepSouth, a project aimed at becoming the new innovation ecosystem of Southern Italy. A series of meetings, organized by R.P. Consulting with the support of the Polytechnic of Bari, Deloitte, The Hub, Start Hub Consulting, Unisco and Ayming, part of the national initiative “MUSA – Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action”, funded under the Innovation Ecosystems Program.
The Apulian company, active in the renewable energy sector since 2008, will be the protagonist of the second talk, entitled “Green Revolution: sustainability in action”. Giovanni Melpignano, CEO Southenergy, will be among the main speakers of the event, a spokesperson with a consolidated experience in the energy sector and relative familiarity with the topics covered by the format itself.
#DeepSouth: the project
Creating an ecosystem conducive to innovation in Southern Italy, offering startups, informal teams and local innovators a concrete opportunity for growth and development. This is the goal of “DeepSouth – Disruptive Innovation”, a series of events that brings together the main players from the institutional, research and industrial worlds, whose collaboration will be key to building a competitive, sustainable and innovative future.
Giovanni Melpignano and the Green Revolution: sustainability in action
The second talk will feature Giovanni Melpignano, CEO Southenergy, Giuseppe Milano, green marketing strategist, and the council member Domenico Scaramuzzi. The event will be moderated by Antonio Procacci, journalist. The event will close with a TechTalks & Mocktails, a moment of sharing and creative discussion.

The project is aimed at informal teams and innovative startups, with the aim of selecting projects with high technological potential and concretely supporting them in their implementation. Thanks to a four-month incubation program hosted by The Hub Bari, participants will be able to benefit from a sum of money equal to 20 thousand euros to finance development activities, qualified mentorship and networking opportunities with industry experts, companies and investors. The program will conclude with a final prize of 10 thousand euros, awarded to the best project during the final event.
