This is how the “Stelle del Sud” ranking is born

“In the heart of Southern Italy reside not only enchanting beauties but also entrepreneurs who, with their audacity, determination, and talent, have turned challenges into opportunities, bringing the name of the region to the top, demonstrating that success knows no geographical boundaries.” This is the spirit behind the “Stelle del Sud 2024” ranking, led by Il Sole 24 Ore and Statista, aimed at highlighting the companies that have achieved extraordinary milestones in the entrepreneurial landscape of the region.

Requirements for being included in the “Stelle del Sud” ranking

The “Stelle del Sud” ranking does not only assess the financial results of companies but also their ability to create innovation and workforce in Southern Italy. Companies that, in addition to achieving economic success, have had a significant impact on the territory, creating opportunities and contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.

Nell’ambito dell’analisi delle performance del periodo 2019-2022, tre sono le dimensioni oggetto di valutazione:

• Revenue growth;
• Employee growth & hirings under the age of 30;
• Investments in assets (tangible and intangible).

Admission requirements

• Have a turnover of at least 1 million euros in 2022
• Have their registered office in one of the following regions: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardegna, Sicilia
• Be independent
• Have been founded before 2020
• Not be in any of the conditions referred to in art. 80 of Legislative Decree no. 50/2016
