Il Sole 24 Ore and Statista: Southenergy honored among Italy’s fastest growing companies

Important recognition for Southenergy, a leading company in photovoltaics, awarded as part of the “Leader of Growth” 2024 competition, the famous ranking compiled by Il Sole 24 Ore and Statista, representative of the 500 Italian companies capable of competing at a European level and with the greatest increase in turnover in the last three years. Here’s how the “Growth Leaders” is created “Growth Leader” is the prestigious award given to the 500 Italian companies with the most significant revenue growth in the three-year period 2019-2022, as compiled by Il Sole 24 Ore and Statista. In addition to including the big players (both private and publicly traded companies), the ranking highlights all companies that can compete at a European level. The data were certified by a member of the company’s executive committee and thoroughly checked by Statista. The ranking, based on the average annual growth rate over the three-year period (CAGR), was discussed and screened by Statista and Il Sole 24 Ore. Requirements to be included in the “Growth Leader” ranking In order to be included in the prestigious Growth Leader classification 2024 a company must meet the following requirements:

• A turnover of at least €100,000 in 2019;
• A turnover of at least €1.5 million in 2022;
• The company must be independent (no subsidiaries or affiliates);
• The company must be headquartered in Italy;
• Revenue growth in the three-year period 2019-2022 must be predominantly organi.c;
• The company is not in any of the conditions as presented by Art. 80 of Dlgs. 50 (201)

At a preliminary stage, Statista created a rich list of potentially relevant companies. Sources for identifying companies were: databases, public listings and rankings with a focus on business growth as well as public business registries. Thanks to these sources, it was possible to filter from the entire national business system, about 9,000 companies from different business sectors with a high rate of revenue growth over the past three years. The contest was publicized both online and in print, allowing all eligible companies to register through the Statista and Il Sole 24 Ore websites. In addition, Statista invited thousands of companies in Italy, identified as possible candidates for Growth Leaders 2024, to participate in the contest via mail and e-mail. Evaluation and quality control All data reported by candidate companies were processed and checked by Statista. Missing data (number of employees, address, etc.) were researched in detail. Companies that did not meet the inclusion or quality criteria were omitted from the ranking. The minimum annual growth rate considered for ranking is 22.99%. Southenergy, a force of nature!
