Il Sole 24 Ore & Statista: Southenergy once again among the “Stelle del Sud”
Once again, Southenergy stands out in the entrepreneurial firmament of Southern Italy, winning the prestigious “Stella del Sud” award again this year. The company, a leader in the renewable energy sector, based in Ostuni (Brindisi), was awarded again this year for its exponential growth, commitment to creating economic value and positive impact on the territory.

“Stelle del Sud” is an initiative promoted by Il Sole 24 Ore and Statista to celebrate companies in Southern Italy and the major islands that have distinguished themselves for their exceptional results. The selection is based on rigorous criteria, which evaluate not only the growth in turnover, but also the increase in employees, especially young people under 30, and investments in fixed assets.
“Stelle del Sud” 2025 requirements
The “Stelle del Sud” ranking does not limit itself to evaluating the financial results of companies, but also their ability to create innovation and workforce in the South of the country. Companies that, in addition to achieving economic success, have had a significant impact on the territory, creating opportunities and contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
Admission requirements:
- Have a turnover of at least 1 million euros in 2023
- Have their registered office in one of the following regions: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardegna, Sicilia
- Carry out, in the event that the registered office is not in one of the regions mentioned, the activity only in one or more of the following regions: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Campania, Calabria, Molise, Puglia, Sardegna, Sicilia
- Be independent
- Have been founded before 2021
- Not be in any of the conditions referred to in articles 94 – 98 of Legislative Decree 36/2023
Once these criteria are met, companies are evaluated on the basis of three main dimensions:
- Revenue growth
- Employee growth & hirings under the age of 30
- Investments in assets (tangible and intangible)
