Tax Benefits, Incentives, and Photovoltaics for Businesses
Incentives 2024 and Photovoltaics for Businesses
In recent years, the adoption of sustainable technologies has become a priority for many companies aiming to reduce the environmental impact of their activities but also to manage in a virtuous way a cost item increasingly impactful in industrial budgets: the cost of energy. Among the most effective and quickly implementable solutions, photovoltaics holds a prominent place, guaranteeing environmental benefits but also preserving immediate savings on bills, achieving increasing energy independence, and at the same time a consequent enhancement of the property. Equipping oneself with a system that allows self-production of energy means, in fact, predicting the cost of it from now to 20 years, fixing the price of one’s own energy with consequent conscious management of it in the present and future business investment plans.
As a direct consequence of the above, 2024 confirms the great opportunity for companies to shift towards green energy procurement while simultaneously reducing operational costs. Indeed, there are numerous incentives this year as well that companies can benefit from for the installation of a photovoltaic system. An opportunity not to be overlooked, as it is synonymous with increasing the strategic potential of the company from multiple points of view. From financial support in the initial phase of design and implementation of photovoltaic systems, to immediate relief on companies’ energy costs. The incentives available in 2024 include tax benefits, tax credits, and specific subsidies for companies choosing to invest in renewable technologies. These facilitations make the investment in photovoltaics not only sustainable but also economically advantageous. The incentives valid nationally for business installations are numerous, among them (as examples but not exhaustive) the FER Decree and the Tax Credit (R&D), the New Sabatini 2024, the Reverse Charge. Not to mention the PNRR facilitations (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), such as the “Parco Agrisolare” measure, specific for companies in the agricultural, livestock, and agro-industrial sectors, which allows access to a non-repayable grant of up to 80%. Also, the Renewable Energy Communities (CER), a group of citizens, SMEs, territorial entities, and local authorities sharing renewable electric energy produced by plants owned by one or more community members in order to promote a more collaborative and sustainable energy model.Focus on the South: 2024 Incentives and Photovoltaics for Businesses
A year full of opportunities is also looming for businesses in the South aiming for energy efficiency. In addition to national initiatives, territorial initiatives will also be worthy of attention, including the following two measures as examples.
MiniPIA – Integrated Facilitation Packages
The Official Bulletin of the Puglia Region no. 12 of February 8, 2024, announced an unmissable opportunity for micro and small businesses: the Public Notice MiniPia, Integrated Facilitation Packages. Facilitations for micro and small businesses for activities related to technological and industrial innovation, digitalization, and energy and environmental transition, as well as the development and qualification of skills aimed at consolidating and strengthening the competitiveness of the regional economic system.
The MiniPia will support SMEs intending to address the new challenges posed by innovation and ecological and digital transition, through the reengineering of production cycles and the initiation/consolidation of circular economy processes, a tool to facilitate access to credit by smaller enterprises. The total amount of eligible expenses and costs ranges from a minimum of 30,000 euros to a maximum of 5 million euros. The form of aid is the non-repayable grant.ZES – Special Economic Zones
Starting from January 1, 2024, the Special Economic Zone for the South (Single ZES) is established, which includes the territories of the Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sicilia, and Sardegna regions. The Single ZES aims to support economic development and growth in the involved areas. It intends to provide companies with a favorable fiscal and regulatory environment, capable of incentivizing investments in the southern regions.
The strategic plan of the Single ZES defines, also in coherence with the PNRR and with the national and regional programming of European structural funds as well as in compliance with environmental sustainability principles, the development policy of the Single ZES, identifying, also in a differentiated manner for the regions that are part of it, the sectors to be promoted and those to be strengthened, the investments and priority interventions for the development of the Single ZES, including those aimed at promoting industrial conversion aimed at energy transition, and the methods of implementation.IN CONCLUSION, 2024 PRESENTS A YEAR FULL OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR BUSINESSES In this context, turning to Southenergy for consultancy means benefiting from a historic operator in the renewable energy sector to take a step forward towards a more efficient and sustainable energy future.
