The best energies lie in the aspirations of younger generations

Protecting and enhancing the resources of its land are the principles behind the birth of Southenergy. This applies to daily business-related activities, but not only. Spreading an energy culture based on principles such as respect and sustainability is crucial. Yet, even more so is necessary to share the tools to be able to make such a culture a reality with new generations. Therefore, on the occasion of its fifteenth anniversary of operations, Southenergy became the promoter of a journey to discover energy and the wonderful world of renewable sources. The magical world of energy An initiative designed to introduce, in a creative and engaging way, fundamental notions such as energy and renewable sources, stimulating the imagination and curiosity of the young. The course, led by the Southenergy team, saw students from SOUxOstuni and the First Comprehensive Institute of San Vito dei Normanni engaged in three educational macro-moments:

• Educational theory module: energy and renewable energy sources, theory and practical applications;
• Didactic play module: workshop aimed at building a sustainable housing structure;
• Creative module: energy, represented by children.

A real targeted educational programme, thanks to which young participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on renewable energy sources and to learn about sustainable practices to be adopted in daily life. An almost mandatory step in the logic of raising awareness and involving future generations on the importance of environmental issues and energy sustainability. The home of the future, seen by the “adults of tomorrow” The final creative module saw children and young people try their hand at the creative representation of what should be, through their vision, the house of the future. Seen by the “adults of tomorrow”, the house of the future integrates energy independence, electric mobility, sustainability, respect for traditions and the environment. A dream, achievable through renewable energy generation and management. ‍ Principled and far-sighted thoughts, the result of crucial sustainable education for the younger generation and certainly an example for adults. Small seeds that will certainly blossom, the protagonists in recent days of a press campaign carried by some of the major newspapers.
