Why Photovoltaics?

The term renewable energy encompasses all sources of energy that, by their inherent nature, are not subject to depletion and ensure minimal environmental impact. These sources are utilised without compromising their future availability. Due to significant technological advancements, the production of electricity from renewable sources has become a widespread and effective choice. Photovoltaic energy is among the most prevalent sources of renewable electricity production globally, including in Italy.

A photovoltaic (PV) system enables energy production from a sustainable and inexhaustible source such as solar energy, utilising available roof space in both commercial and residential settings. Today, photovoltaics represents an ideal technology for managing energy costs in both sectors while addressing the growing demands for environmental sustainability and climate neutrality.

This marks a significant revolution in electricity production, now recognized as a sustainable investment due to technological enhancements, offering numerous environmental, economic, and social benefits. Photovoltaic systems can reduce energy costs and mitigate the negative environmental impact associated with traditional energy sources.

Since 2008, Southenergy has been dedicated to promoting energy sustainability for businesses and households. Our turnkey solutions are meticulously monitored, updated, and constructed to the highest quality standards. They are managed comprehensively by our highly qualified in-house personnel, specialising in effective project management and plant lifecycle management.

We are committed to helping you identify the solution to your energy needs.

Customised installation of photovoltaic systems

Photovoltaics is a highly efficient and sustainable system for generating electrical current, based on the use of a renewable and inexhaustible energy source, a symbol of life since time immemorial: the sun.

When talking about photovoltaics, it usually refers to a system for producing electrical energy through the direct conversion of solar radiation. A photovoltaic system consists, simplifying its complex technical structure, of a series of essential elements: a set of photovoltaic modules, one or more inverters designed to convert the direct current produced by the modules into alternating current, a specific meter for measuring the energy produced, a possible storage system where appropriate, and other fundamental electrical components useful for protecting the system itself.

The installation of a photovoltaic system requires a phase of consultation and preliminary investigation aimed at identifying a technical solution truly in line with the client’s needs. Once the exact geographical location of the property under consideration for installation is determined, a thorough analysis of historical consumption is carried out to identify technical solutions consistent with the analysis scenario. System sizing, structural analysis, executive planning, and more are crucial but different steps with a similar goal: to identify a technical solution that can ensure maximum energy yield of the system, in accordance with the energy needs under analysis.

It is not just a matter of mere installation, but a tailor-made process whose essential ingredients are competence, seriousness, and passion. The areas of activity in which Southenergy operates range from the design and construction of new turnkey photovoltaic systems to the enhancement of existing systems through repowering and revamping activities, fully safeguarding projects also through the management of crucial activities such as O&M, monitoring, technical and administrative due diligence, and asset management for the management of obligations and requirements related to the GSE, Customs Agency, Network Manager, and relevant authorities.
