A clear example of this approach is the project developed in Ostuni (BR) for one of our B2C client, a far-sighted partnership based on two project milestones:
- MILESTONE 1 – Photovoltaic system with a power of 3,28 kW, combined with
- a 8,28 kWh Storage System
- a double inverter to ensure maximum power and energy available
- a Sunny Home Manager 2.0 device for intelligent consumption monitoring.
- MILESTONE 2 – Backup Box, in order to guarantee the electrical power supply of the structure even in the event of possible interruptions in the electrical network.
ENERGY AUTONOMY, SAFETY AND CONTINUITY: three words that well summarize the solution developed by Southenergy. But what is the advantage generated by the technical solution developed?
1st ADVANTAGE | SELF-CONSUMPTION: the installation of a photovoltaic system allows a first immediate advantage defined, precisely, self-consumption, that is the possibility of consuming on site – reconciling production timing Vs. consumption timing – the electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic system to meet the energy needs of your home or company. The optimization of self-consumption can be pursued through the following strategies:
- Use appliances in a targeted manner during times of high photovoltaic production
- Store excess photovoltaic energy and use it during peak consumption or in the evening/night hours.
2nd ADVANTAGE | 24/7 ENERGY: photovoltaic systems with storage systems have the ultimate purpose of allowing energy to be used at a later time than when it is produced, thus optimizing the production and consumption of electricity. Their main function is to store excess electricity – which, in the absence of such accumulators, would be fed into the national electricity grid – making it available at times when there is an energy demand or at times of poor efficiency and quality of the grid.
Storage systems are operated by the photovoltaic inverter, therefore in the event of an interruption of the electricity grid both devices stop working. This is precisely where it becomes essential to equip your system with a device called Backup Box.
3rd ADVANTAGE | INDEPENDENCE FROM THE GRID: the Backup Box – automatic switching panel – in the event of a power outage or grid failure, safely separates the photovoltaic system and the users connected to it from the public grid, activating “island” operation. This guarantees an uninterrupted supply of electricity through the constant operation of the system and the use of the energy stored in the batteries even in the event of a power failure.
